Very nice system Jack...I think you will be very pleased with it, I'm a little on the jealous side!.....Now....with that much more power behind you, we're all going to be looking for a lot more of all your fantastic work.

As far as the UAC is concerned....I have it totally turned off on both my desktop and laptop systems, but then again, I don't store any important data on my systems, I keep it all on my network drives. This way if I ever screw up my system I can just reformat and re-install. Tweak Vista will be a must have for you!

And how do you like it?

Cool one, skinhit. Fast and strong. Don't put any of Po's stuff on it....6GB RAM will disappear like hitting cold water. (guess I'm on "The List" now, huh?).

Doc quietly leaves the house to rent a UPS uniform. bwah ha ha .

It runs quite spectacular, extremely fast, it runs Vista like a charm, no problems at all,

i ordered a i7 940, some ocz ram, a 4870, and an asus mobo for my younger brother today. well, i ordered it after lil bro gave me the money for it. i'm sure i'll upgrade from my current rig when the prices go down a bit. i'm not going to pay 500 bucks for a processor. lil bro can afford it. i can't. besides, my current rig is just fine

No need to guess... you ARE on "The List" now for sure... tho I am curious - disappear like what??? hitting cold water!

Hehe, me thinks you need to be swimming in a heated pool instead.

After Po` reads this, you'll need a better disguise than that... and definitely a mask, tho not one of those GWB masks that have been so popular among bank robbers...

you might have trouble explaining your whereabouts on various dates to the cops.

I still can't get over that cold water thing...

While you're out getting your disguise, perhaps you might invest in some thermal swimming trunks.

In the past builds of mine, i always purchased hardware that was like a year old, so it was cheaper, and more affordable, but this time, i went with current technology, but the prices were good ( i got everything on sale at Micro Center in Cambridge Ma) because of the economy, everything seems slashed, so much so the printer i bought HP OfficeJet L7680 was 200 bucks off, hard to pass that up. so this setup is my XMAS present and i couldnt be happier, Skinhit, you are going to love your rig, beleive me, and you will be impressed with the speed and absolutely no slow redraws on windows whatsoever. Let me know what you think when you get it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ah the downside, well when i got it running, i kinda didnt get any sleep that night, as i was up so late "playing" around with it, like a little kid at christmas,

Thanks for your help jmurph...Funny thing is I double checked my order today and Dell had F***** it up? It was a stripped down model of this one...Luckily I caught it in time and my correct order will be shipping on the 15th...Will let you know how it goes!

Man! And I was excited about my new laptop!

I'll be getting a Dell XPS Core 2 Duo 2.5 Ghz, 4GB DDR2, 320 GB HD, running Vista Ultimate x32. Very similar to my desktop.

It's replacing a 2-year-old Dell Inspiron that was built to run xp. It runs Vista fine, but as almost all of my software now demands more, it's time to move on up.

By the way, Skinhit, if you'll give me your order number, I'd be glad to check up on it for you!

Thanks mirsguy...it is in production now and from all the feedback I am very excited...should be here befrore Christmas!

Who am I, Zubaz?

Who am I, Zubaz?

Nope, but it's obvious that either you've been hanging around him a little too much, or that Zub's conspiracy to rewrite the dictionary is finally bearing fruit.
